Yesterday night went to Channel Dance Club (Previously known as WARP Dance Club) for Soundscape band competition of KL Area. The 3 best bands of the night will elegible to take part in the final where will be held at 20th August.
There 6 bands took part last night, they were Slap, Met Mercury, Dream Machine, Zhang Wang (King of Funeral?), Deng Deng (Wait Wait) and Lang (Wave). They played very well and did make the audience enjoy of their music. Too bad my fellows were stucked in the jam only can reach when the last band Lang was playing. However they had fun while the prize given ceremony.

Had fun with colleagues, met new friends as well. 3 mugs of beer and 2 shots of Tequila Pop made me dizzy all way from Thai Club to home with LRT. As usual, took some photos, and as predicted, photos took in dark were very very bad - blur @_@ I really need a SLR…

Mystery in LRT Station

Friday, July 22nd, 2005

P7220011P7220004Today stayed back a while in office, then left office around 7.45pm. When I reached LRT station, there was packed with people, seems like there was something happened to the LRT system. Even two trains were passed but whole station still crowded. So I’ve decided to go opposite to take the train to earlier station Ampang Park so that can get in to the train. 10 minutes later when I back to KLCC station again, I was ready for big crowd of people that will flood into the train. Surprisingly… the number of people in whole KLCC station waiting for my train has not more than 20 people!! Where have all those people gone in 10 minutes? ???@_@???

Big round moon

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

Today stayed in office until quite late, exam at Monday, so have to put more effort, but ended up reading chat message in circles99, haha…
When reach Bukit Jalil LRT station, I noticed the moon was so bright and beautiful, especially under the river beside the station (although now already become a big drain -_-"). Thought of took some photos but feel lazy, somemore no tripod… So just continue my journey to home, then received a SMS from Siew Pei, my old college mate, reminded me to watch the moon. Then I only have the guts to take photo… wasted le, if took at LRT station will be better, shouldn’t think too much, should follow the philosophy ‘Don’t think, just shoot’…
Well these are the photos taken, quite blur… sigh my camera can’t perform well in night time, when can i get a SLR? @-@

Music Reunion Gig III - Mumster last show

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

Attending gig is a wonderful thing, especially attending a gig with Mumster. However this wonderful thing ended yesterday in ‘Music Reunion Gig III’, because Mumster is officially disbanded after the show.
It’s a gig that reunion the Chinese independant bands and have a ‘gathering gig’, so there were number of bands performed, however I reach quite late, when I entered the hall, Euseng was playing. Euseng indeed is cool musician, his songs are indeed good. I’ve heard a lot reviews of him with positive points, and everything was confirmed last night: I’ve listened to a talented musician playing awesome songs.
After that was Zeolot Bulletin. Their well-known song ‘Why Vote for Idiots?’ brought the heat to the hall, people starting pogo and head banging with this anti-"lazy money-making politicians" song.
However the heat was being halted for a while when Citizen of Icecream was playing. Their music isn’t bad, just they plays post-rock, the way to enjoy their music is sit dwon and listen using open heart.
At last, of course was Mumster. Once Mumster came out, they brought up the heat again. Being active in independent scene for 5 years equipped them well with experience on how to do that. Everybody was crazy on the stage and under-stage. Head banging and pogo around. May be their music were too heavy, the mic was out at the third song, so they had to reduce the number of song performing from 5 to 4 songs. The last song was performed without mic, however they had the song sang with the fans, it’s a very interesting thing for a underground band, especially for a nu-metal band had their song sang by fans, everybody shouted like hell, and last part of the song some fans and I hopped up to the stage and jumped + shouted with Mumster, this make me remember what my friend vava used to say: "In Hong Kong Kinglychee has fans sing on stage, in Malaysia we have Mumster".
Every fun time has a end time, although this performance was so crazy, although fans had not enough, although Mumster wish to sing more in last gig… The gig still need to be ended because of the technical problem, and everything was all ended…
This was tiring but fun gig, can say is one of the craziest gigs I ever attend. Thanks for organizer Nao and Soundscape, thanks to bands performed, thanks to Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, thanks to independant music lovers, and last but least thanks to Mumster brought so much of wonderful and distinct music experience to us.

I didn’t snap the craziest part cause I was part of the craziest fans jumping around. Will post more in Photo Album once I receive photos from my fellows.

Tuesday, July 5th, 2005

P7040002 Finally started working in new office, Exact ADC, at KLCC. Feel fresh, nervours, haha…

First 3 months are probation period, at the same time is training period as well. In this training period, we are studying company system, database (SQL), VB programming (COM, ActiveX)… bla bla bla… Just like back to college time because most of the new colleagues are almost same age or younger. So these days are busy with learning, studying, preparing for exams (fail the exam means fail the probation :p)…

P7040008 This is my new PC. Look slim but powerful. Hope it will accompany me pass the exams… =_=

Jobless day

Saturday, July 2nd, 2005

Friday morning I woke up early, drove my car to KLCC to observe the road condition, preparing for future in case need to drive for work, for how much time i needed for travelling. After that try to look for parkings around there to see any alternative beside KLCC parking.
Anyhow, whole observation ended at 9am something, and I had a lunch appoinment at Jalan Ipoh with my ex-colleagues around 12pm, that’s mean I have 3 hours free time to be spent outside (go home and out again will spend more petrol). So I decided to go some place that I never went before, after wandering for some time, I finally found Lake Gardens and drove in and at last stopped and the Bird Park.P7010001 Thought of went in to take some photos and for toilet, but the entrance fee gave me a shock, it’s quite expensive for me that day, so just took a photo outside of the park and then just left.

After that I discovered another interesting place on the road sign to visit - National Monument. However, the road had changed but the road sign didn’t update, I reach National Monument after turning around for few rounds in Lake Gardens.
P7010022The National Monument was a place I knew since childhood from old one ringgit bank note, however I just never been there even I’ve live for more than 25 years in KL :)
This Sculpture was built at 1966 by Felix de Weldon, for fallen heroes who gave their lives during World War II and the Emergency
(1948-60).
There were a lot of tourists from Japan and Indonesia came in group, and I was alone there taking photos and joining them listened story from tour guide, haha act like a tourist… :p

P7010040P7010041After spending some time drove aimlessly around KL and Jalan Ipoh, finally met my ex-colleague and had lunch with them. :)

They having lunch in 2 shifts, so jus took photos with Wai Ching and Evelyn that I more familiar with in shift 1.

The story is not ended yet, hehe…
P7020136P7020139At night went to Bangkok Jazz with friends. We’re invited by a long lost friend Kexin, yeah never seen her for more than a year. Had fun at there discussing some plans. However no jazz music that night as the theme of the night was retro, anyway those 70’s classics still gave us a fun time too.
